    Unicable lnb advice

I need a bit of info on how best to setup my new house.

My plan is to replace the current lnb with a unicable which will be connected to an 8 way splitter to then feed each room in the house. Can this be done or does the unicable lnb need to wired direct to a receiver?

Any recommendations on which unicable is best are welcome.

I'll be using a fixed dish pointing at 28.2 only
    Sent from my Philips C12

Does not have to be direct to receiver.
You can also use multiple splitters if it is more convenient.

    Unicable lnb advice

Use a unicable 2 LNB as unicable 1 generally allow a maximum of 4 connections.

An alternative is to use a switch. You can then add Terrestrial connection. You will generally need a quattro LNB for a switch. Some switches will also take a standard/universal LNB.

... some switches will take Quad or Quattro LNB's but you have to double check the description.
Some will also do the splitting eg 8 single outputs or 2x3 or a combination plus "legacy" outputs

You don't need a switch to combine terrestrial and satellite. Just use a mixer.

If you just want single sat I can't see any reason to use a switch.
