    e2m3ubouquets

Just a heads up for anyone trying IPTV that you may want to look at e2m3ubouquets here:

    Code:
    https://www.suls.co.uk/e2m3u2bouquet-0-5
It's a script that takes m3u format files from many popular providers and creates all the bouquets for you so you still get the standard Enigma 2 user experience and also supports the config of epgimporter just needing you to add one source.

If you use the -i parameter with the script it will use the 4097 service id which you can then use in conjunction with serviceapp to use exteplayer3 - your milage may vary but on the Technomate TM-Nano-SE I'm using here CPU has gone from 100% while using Xtream or xcplugin to about 2%.

It may not suit everyone but it's the best way I've seen yet to easily add IPTV to Enigma 2 boxes easily while seeming native and it stays in sync over time (or at least it has so far!)

Xtream and xcplugin just locked up way too often for me.

OK did find a problem today in that once you use serviceapp to use exteplayer3 instead of the default the EPG stops working, likewise if you use the non standard service id of 5002 to trigger exteplayer3 you also don't get EPG data :/

Did you get extplayer3 working with the EPG?, I find extplayer3 doesnt freeze or stutter as much as the default player but is anoying having to swap back to refresh the EPG.

I've got to admit I've not sat and played with it for a long time now, there was a discussion going on over on the OpenPLI forums about it which suggested things were afoot in September - not sure if those changes would have filtered through to OpenViX though?

I was just reading through the comments on e2m3ubouquets and see that the next version of the script is going to add forcing the service reference to 1 for EPG Importer download purposes which means that EPG data should then import fine even when using serviceapp

A comment from DougMac over on the help thread:

"Epg Importer starts a fake recording to filter invalid service refs.

That’s why it doesn’t work when serviceapp is overriding the 4097 service as exteplayer3 has no recording support. You can see this in the channelFilter function of the EPG Importer source code"

"I will force the epg config to use the 1 stream type in the next version as that will allow exteplayer3 to work."

5002 works with epg import with service app set to exteplayer.

Thats exactly what i did, it generates the config file with a 1 regardless of what i've set it to 1, 4097 ,5001, 5002 so that epgimporter imports regardless, I have since put the code i've added and changed into the help section for them to look at

Hi, I've been using the plugin version of this for a while now and really happy with it. However, I don't understand the paragraph you've written above... could you explain what using 4097 service id means and also using serviceapp to use exteplayer3?

    cheers!
