    New box what to get?

    Looking for some recommendations of what box to get, currently have a vu+ solo 2 setup with sky dish, 1.1 motorised dish and cable. Ideally new box needs to have a minimum of 2 x DVB-S tuners and a dual DVB-C tuner, solo/ultimo 4k versions both look like good upgrades but come with a high price tag and I wondered what other options I should consider?

    either the 4k hd mutant or 4koctagon sf4008 (lovely box). if you have the money the solo4k is good. the ultimo is overpriced, but depends what you want to do with it

    Its not clear on wos, will the sf4008 allow you to watch and record one on cable - does it split the signal internally? http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/...-1x-dvb-c-t-t2

    I need 2 x DVB-S aswell as dual DVB-C for fixed 28.2 sat dish and motorised setup, motorised is used for viewing feeds.

    The Mut@nt HD51 or the Octagon SF4008 are not for you. They both have limitations as regards your requirements. Personally I would go with the Vu+ Ultimo 4K. The rolls royces of boxes and will serve you well for a long time.

    Well you want 2 satellite & 2 cable tuners. Mut@nt HD51 is limited to 2 tuners. The SF4008 is limited to 3 tuners. Unless you are gonna start adding usb tuners into the mix.

    Depends on that dual Cable tuner requirement
    The GigaBlue 4K will give you 2 DVB-S2 tuners (both with FBC capability upto 8 tuners) and a single Cable tuner option ......for about 200 pounds cheaper than the Ultimo ... but of course if you have money to burn
    Gigablue Quad 4K & UE 4K
    .........FBC Tuners:
    ------------------> DUR-Line DCR 5-1-8-L4 Multiswitch to 1.5M dish(28.2E)
    ------------------> Spaun SUS 5581/33 NFA Multiswitch to 80 cm dish(19.2E)
    .......................> FBC & DVB-S2X into 90cm dish (27.5W) Opticum robust Unicable LNB
    AX HD61, Edision Osmio 4K+, Zgemma H9Combo, Octagon SF8008 , gbtrio4k, h9se using Legacy ports on multiswitches
    Zgemma H9 C/S into Giga4K

    I don't have money to burn, far from it lol

    Does the solo 4k not offer 2 sat connections and a dual dvb-c?

    When I say dual dvb-c I just want to be able to record one cable channel and watch another.

    I single sat connection for sky dish and one single sat connection for motorised.
