You are streaming from servers so never gonna be perfect. You'll never beat proper Sky (sky card) in receiver & recordings that way.

I've been testing IPTV and I've just done a recording and thats playing back fine on my Vu+ Ultimo 4K. I'm not using any plugins, I have created an IPTV Bouquet List with working EPG.

Are you sure you can Record 1 IPTV Channel & Watch another IPTV Channel. I find that hard to believe if I'm honest unless you have 2 separate IPTV Streams from different sources?

Yes recorded from one iptv stream had full &7 days epg. Was excellent stream & playback of recordings. I am not saying all iptv streams are good as i tested 11 streams and i would say only 2 was good.

You can do it but you need a multi room sub but your internet bandwidth would be the main limiting factor

So the development of iptv looks like it's doing well, I have one question though please. Where do I need to be looking to find the streams to build my own bouquet please? I don't want anyone to break forum rules here by answering in thread, feel free to pm me.

You do NOT need multiroom or 2 streams to watch & record iptv at the same time.

I have tested 11 iptv providers some free & paid for experimental purpose only. Most were ok watchable with the odd pause & lip sink. There was only 1 out of the 11 that i would say was as good if not better than c/s, this one i tested on these devices, Vu+Duo2, Vu+Solo2, Mut@nt HD2400, Roku 2/3, Android Box, Ipad Pro, Amazon fire tv box. Also works on Iphone 4g, Mag box, Nvidia shield, and yes that crappy box Zgemma you all hate. Some i tested using apps and also Xtream-Codes that uses the mac of your device, most was used with putty ip of box telnet, root, paste iptv stream reboot. All iptv test i used with putty was added to my Bouquet list most were in sly order others in alphabetical order. The best one i tested recorded one channel while watching another, tested this 5 times with different channels because at first i thought they hadn't recorded, instead of recordings being at top of list they were at the bottom on the hard drive. As for epg self populated with iptv test done nothing to my original setup had full epg & the 7 day epg as in photos. Cannot give links to any iptv test against the rules, hope this helps you all looking into iptv.

I too have been doing some testing with trial accounts... some iptv providers provide a plugin that you have to run to view the channels... xtream.tv is one example and there doesn't seem to be anyway of getting out of the plugin other than by rebooting the box (vu+ duo 2). Others provide a script that creates an "example" bouquet - this seems a better approach but I can't get the EPG populated with the programme data... do I need to add something to the crossepg downloader config to enable this e.g. xml/rytec stuff - help!

What i found with my test they don't all have epg and channels were in alphabetical order with vod & box sets mixed in. There was a couple that had Sports,News,Music,Movies, folders with vod seperate. The iptv in photos had epg builtin the test so didn't have to do anything.
