2./i know the dish moves left to right but does it need to move up and down aswell.
3./how many satellites are available from my location.
4./what sort of content is available../movies/sport/cartoons/documentarys.
5./i presume they will be difference in language, will i have option to change to english.

    2. No. Just left and right.
    3. Can't sat for you but for me about 30 or so (1m dish south west England)
    4. Can't say on that front (someone else could chime in on that one)
    5. Sometimes.
6.Had mine for years... Used to be good but now starting to use it more because of your opening statement...

The dish moves in an arc to compensate for earth curvature, not easy to setup by yourself unless your techy minded, a good 80 cm dish would do, you also need a polar mount and motor easiest is ones that send power through the coax so no power wires, Google for the night 😎

They're no too hard to put up....

    1. Biggest thing is make sure the pole is absolutely vertical...

    2. Get you lat and long from a sat nav. This goes into the receiver.

    3. Get 2 sats lines up that are strong and at each end of the arc. I use astra (28.8e and hispasat 30.0w) everything in between will fall in...

    4. Once done. Mark the pole just incase the wind blows it out...

people need to think about how IPTV for UK is obtain. its obtain through either sly or virmin and sky has started to go and sooner or later, it will all go by looks of things. virmin will follow suit, they did this some years backs (Nag 3, I think or 4). so IPTV wont last.

my dad has motorised dish (it was huge), picked up a ton of channels. most of the free channels were naff

Depends how these IPTV servers obtain and stream their signal. Same thing happened with Sky Italia and thats all available on IPTV, nothing stopping these large pay servers with the right finances having a receiver per channel and streaming the decrypted signal.... anyway this sort of chat is against our rules. Personally all my E2 boxes are used for free to air only so don't really care either way.

Enigma 2 receivers even if used for free to air are far better than any junk Official Freesat or Freeview box.
