    swap hdd to another receiver?

hi is it possible to just take a hard drive out of my current receiver (technomate tm twin oe) and put it into a new receiver (i thinking of the edision os mega)?
obviously i want to keep all the recordings on it and view them on the new receiver. is it a case of just plugging it in and then setting up the new receiver as i would when i do an openvix update?
    thanks

    swap hdd to another receiver?

Your only problem will be if its 3.5" or 2.5". Not many receivers cater for 3.5" ones.

Shut down/deep stand by the receiver. Connect new HDD. Power up.

    YOU MUST NOT INITIALISE IT

Is it a 2.5" or 3.5" HDD? If 3.5", you will have to put it in a powered external caddy.
