Update ABM plugin on Vu+ Solo

Hello,

I am running the last available Vix image (3.2.037) on a Vu+ Solo.

I appreciate there will be no further updates to this image, but is there a way to update the ABM plugin (or at least the config files behind it)? The reason being, I am now missing a few channels.

If you have another Mipsel receiver you can copy the AutoBouquetsMaker folder from for e.g. Vu+ Solo2, Vu+ Duo2 etc etc and ftp to your Vu+ Solo.

Thanks for the response, I actually don't (only a Vu+ Duo) but I downloaded from here: MOD EDIT: Link to other satellite fora not allowed. Rule 6

FTPing now and I will post back the results, hopefully it all works...

Update: I have updated the AutoBouquetsMaker folder via FTP, reboot GUI, now I can't connect to Openwebif lol. Saying connection refused.

Funny enough, I can still FTP into the box no problem. It's just Openwebif that's causing the issue.

The Vu+ Duo AutoBouquetsMaker folder would be suffice.

Ok, so the update of ABM worked.

However, even after:

- Resetting configuration and provider settings
- Choosing to display non-indexed channels
- Updating config
- Placing a brand new satellites.xml into etc/enigma2 folder
- Running ABM
- Rescanning channels
- Restarting GUI

I am still missing the elusive Sky Sports News channel.

Can anyone shed any light as to why, am I missing a step somewhere?

As abu has pointed out i another similar thread

your region/area must end in Custom for customisations to work. Ones ending in SD and HD do not use the customisations/hacks.

Thanks. Just tried it with custom region, it still isn't working. The channel is showing in Last Scanned and it works there. But not in the correct place within the Sports bouquet.

Edit: Just to be clear, the channel placeholder is correctly showing in the EPG in the Sports bouquet, complete with EPG information. However, the channel itself doesn't clear (blank screen).

Yes, did this. But unfortunately those specific channels are still not clearing.

I have just checked my son's VU DUO which is on OpenViX 5.0.011
which has the current config file.

Yes your quite right the hacks to place the likes of Sky Sp NewsHQ or Sky Sports 4 ROI etc aren't been placed
this is just affecting the Duo as my other receivers are as they should be.

It would seem ypu may have a Custom LCN file (that was the issue with my sons box)

here is the path /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/custom

look for "sd_sat_282_sky_uk_CustomLCN.xml" & delete it
& run AutoBouquetsMaker Scanner again

Extract & ftp to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/
first telete the AutoBouquetsMaker folder before sending over the one attached below.

Reboot a Run AutoBouquetsMaker Scanner
