New flash is better because you get the correct boxmode for Kodi (the default has changed from 12 back to 1) and you also get a new EMMC layout that includes a Kodi swap file (although if thats a benefit I have no idea!) .. so I would backup settings, flash new and then download the Kodi plugin which is now called mx3l-kodi for both Mut@nt and Vu+ (and any other box that takes Kodi in the future like the SF4008)

Many thanks for the quick explanation dear twol I am currently in the openvix 5.0.8 software and kodi17 installed

1-Now, if I delete the kodi 17 and load it again, will it be a new build?
2-What's new in the new build? Pvr.iptvsimple? If true, is pvr now used?

    thank you for everything

Will just backing up "settings" keep all your Kodi settings and plugins too? I'm not sure it will. You may have to copy the .kodi folder too using FTP ??

.kodi (hidden folder), is on the HDD so doesn't get erased unless you delete manually.

Perfect, thanks Andy_Hazza. From what I've been reading it's best not upgrading to Kodi 17 just yet as there appear to be hanging issues on a Solo2. How long before they issue a fix for the fix.

Andy, I remember you mentioned in another a Linux command to fix skin errors on kodi as someone was having an issue in the HD51 but for the life of me cannot find this. Could you tell me the command to enter in telnet? Cheers
