Uno 4k Functionality Using 1 Input

Hi there hoping someone can advise. My father in law was looking to upgrade his XP1000 after he moved from his house into a housing association fold. I noted that he only has 1 feed into his flat from a communal dish. I thought that he would still be able to watch one channel while recording another on any transponder with the Uno 4k using a single feed like a traditional twin tuner fed receiver would . I have his feed connected to tuner A with tuner B set to not configured. Tuners C to H are setfor FBC automatic and all show inacive.

Any way to get it behaving like a twin tuner with just the 1 feed in without having a unicale lnb ?

    Thanks

You would be best putting him an Inverto Unicable II (JESS) LNB on his dish with just the single feed cable into it and he can have pick of 7 channels on different transponders then.

Its a communal dish owned by his housing association so dont think that option is available. Think I may be in the doghouse for giving him duff info and getting him to spend a bit more on the uno 4k. I did have a solo4k myself before and with it connected to the dish with 2 feeds I thought I was able to record a few channels at once while watching another.

Ask his housing association to upgrade the system, if it isn't already, to an scr multiswitch so it's compatible with sky+ receivers.
