I have had one since they came out last year. Never missed a beat in all this time. Kodi soon to be available for this box. ( it might available now) someone will confirm
You cannot use the Vix software update for this box. It has to be done via USB. No big deal.
All in all a great box. Fantastic picture.

You can use Software Update, just not the couch flash function. So when an update becomes available, I.e. 5.0.004 > 5.0.005, you can simply press Menu > Setup > Software Update then option 2.

I have had one for a while and it's a decent box that gives a very good picture.
    Downside for me
You have to learn Oscam (short term pain - long term gain)
Issues with PiP (only an issue if you use PiP and i do, or did !)
    You can't couch flash (PITA)
No rear on/off switch (no big deal but i would prefer one)
Remote not great ( I use a Harmony so not an issue)
Ordinary looking ( something i have in common with it)
    VU+ Solo2 HDD Harmony 650 remote
    Mutant HD51 4K
    VU+ Zero

Just a little clarification: all Arm boxes use Oscam
HD51 supports Kodi but must then run in boxmode 1 (which is now the default for the image - No PiP), but if you are not using Kodi or want to flip and have PiP (boxmode 12), then that is relatively easy to do! (just need a program like Filezilla)
You can couch flash the HD51, just not with ViX
Has its own Multiboot (ability to have multiple E2 images installed), but not supported by ViX and does not (last time I looked), support the Multiboot plugin.

Agree with Wilmoore, hate no On/Off switch, remote works ( ) and has typical Arm 4K tin box look .. but then the technology inside does work well - so that's the important part
    Gigablue Quad 4K & UE 4K
    .........FBC Tuners:
    ------------------> GT-Sat unicable LNB to 1.5M dish(28.2E)
------------------> Gigablue unicable LNB to 80 cm dish(19.2E)
    .......................> FBC & DVB-S2X into 90cm dish (27.5W) Opticum robust Unicable LNB
    AX HD61, Edision Osmio 4K+, Zgemma H9Combo, Octagon SF8008 , gbtrio4k, h9se using unicable ports
    Zgemma H9 C/S into Giga4K

I had it my head that any updates had to be done with a USB re-flash. Was this the case in the early days or have I misunderstood?

Just misunderstood I'm guessing. Software Updates have always worked.
