    VU+ Turbo USB Tuner DVB-C/T2 with Vu+uno4k

    Hi
I have vu+uno4k with dvb-s2 turner built in. I was looking to buy VU+ Turbo USB Tuner DVB-C/T2 external tuner for cable. Can some one confirm they work ok side by side? I mean wil i be able to watch Sat and cable without having to change anything, anw will I be able to record cable while wath sat channel and vice-versa? I have read the cable version of Vu+uno4k had 8 tuners enabled, please correct me if i am wrong, does the usb turner also had 8 tuners active to record one channel while watching another. Sorry for many queston, just want to make sure it will work before i head to world-of-satelite to buy one.

    thanks

Should work and the transition between Sat and Cable should be seamless, but there have been many users who have had frustrations with the VU+ Turbo Tuner.
You will only be able to watch or record one Cable channel at a time with this USB tuner.
Sundtek *may launch USB3 tuners that are capable of 7 mux's later this year.

*(They planned to release dual USB tuners last year but it didn't happen because of platform specific driver problems).

I'm also looking for a terrestial tuner to add to my uno4k
With respect to the vu+ usb tuner, can you combine terrestial and satellite channels in the same epg. I have configured my own epg for the sat channels but would like to add the few extra channels that aren't on freesat eg quest. Is this possible
I would also like to be able to record channels from sat and terrestial at the same time, can this be done?
Are there any problems that are associated with the vu+ USB tuner that I should be aware of
I am running openvix 5 and checked out the various tuner drivers which there seems to be quite a few. Has any one had any experience of other supported USB terrestrial tuners.
    Thanks

Tuner can be used for cable or terrestrial, no issues whatsoever watching or recording. Other makes available, but this one is very reliable.
