    Timeshift using RCSC

    Hi

I currently have an xtrend 10000 in my room and a vu solo 2 in the extension. The solo 2 does not have any direct feeds. It is just used to watch TV downstairs using remote channel stream converter plug in thingy.
This works very well and i can get my EPG.
Is it possible to be able to pause tv and rewind using this tho? I have a 60gb hardrive inside the solo 2

    Thanks

You should try the new improved Fallback & Channel Importer plugin. Much improved & better than RCSC imo.

But would that work for my vu solo2? Because it does not have any live satellite or cable feed?
I thought fallback only works if you try to watch something and a tuner is occupied it will use a remote enigma 2 spare tuner?

Ah i see what you mean. I have two issues with this.
    1) I can not see channels importer on the service searching list. I am using the latest openvix
    2) My set up is a little different than i stated. So my current set up for my xtrend tuner is 1 satellite tuner and 3 cable tuners. My brother who has the xtrend 8000 has two satellite tuners and 1 cable tuner. Now i have set up two different boquets in that if i want to stream a satellite channel the i use his IP address and his tuner because he has two.
If i am streaming a cable channel, then i use mine because i have more cable tuners. THis works amazingly well with RCSC and the i can switch between bouquets without any issue.
I just can not use timeshift with this set up

I just read this "The only advantage RCSC has over remote fallback tuner is RCSC can create bouquets that lead to more than one server receiver"

    That answers my second issue.
Ok now i know this is a long shot. I currently have fallback enabled from my xtrend in that if my satellite tuner is being used, i lets my use my edison OS remote tuner. This works very well to. I tested this by recording bbc 1 on satellite for example and then i tried to watch another satellite channel and it worked. I guess it obviously is using the remote fallback tuner from my edison.
Now if i do the same thing with my VU solo 2 downstairs and i try to watch a satellite channel and my xtrend box has something recording on the satellite channel at the same time, would the vu solo2 automatically remote to my edison?

I tried the new importer thingy and timeshift just causes picture breakup when used. I think it is impossible for client receivers that are solely using a stream to get picture when using timeshift

Channels importer works excellent with timeshift and recording the stream on client box.
