John, please don't advise to put Picons onto the HDD. Either usb flash drive or internal flash (internal flash if your receiver has suffice memory).

I know people say/advise to have picons saved on usb. however, i have had my picons on my internal HDD for years with absolutely with no issues whatsoever.

Well you can put Picons onto the HDD, I can't change that, but the fact of the matter is I would prefer you advise people correctly, thus using the correct method for Picons, regardless what you do.

The internal flash is by far the best method for Picons. Also John, not having a go at you BTW.

I tried internal flash with MK picons on my Xtrend 8500 and it totally slowed down EPG scrolling until I moved them back to HDD. Just saying...

Like I've said it depends on your receivers internal flash capacity. My Solo4K & Ultimo4K have 4GB internal flash so ample ample space.

I had already tried that ones.
dreamboxEDIT is not able to directly associate the picon with the channel
that is why I am thinking are not suitable
picons I use for 13 and 19 east has another naming format: 1_0_1_1_2BC_13E_820000_0_0_0.png and I need not to associate, all is automatic

SRP (conventional) are named by service references.
SNP are named by channel name with a few rules.

You can use both together, the SRP versions have higher priority.

Ocram's picons include the majority of channels on 0.8w/13e/19e/23e/28e, UK and Dutch cable as well as UK terrestrial. I would recommend you use the SNP version.
