    SAT>IP Issues

I'm looking to add an extra tuner to my box using SAT>IP, I have a SAT>IP server set up which I can connect to with other devices (PC,Android Phone) but am having issues connecting to it with openvix. It does find the server and allows me to set it up and will sometimes tune a channel (extremely rarely). When I look at the logs of SAT>IP server it looks like the box isn't always asking for the correct frequency?

Are there issues with SAT>IP on openvix?
Any way for me to debug it?

No, always used vix, it's a pretty old box (xtrend et6000), might be worth looking into other images I suppose if SAT>IP is broken in openvix. Thanks.

SAT> IP is a shared plugin... so if it doesn't work in OpenViX it won't work in others.

Thanks for the info, maybe it's the drivers then, pretty sure they're up to date though. Guess it might be time for a new box.

I am playing with a SAT>IP box at the moment but been away, so only had about 4 hours to play
On ViX its dead as a Dodo, there are a whole pile of error msgs which I didn't have time to check and the whole system runs like a dead dog. On ATV it was kind of working but will spend the next few days trying to get to grips with the SAT>IP box and check out the 2 images..
    Will post what I find.

Quick update, it does seem to be broken in openvix, working perfectly with openatv.
Thanks for the suggestion, I doubt I'd have tried it without being pointed in that direction, openatv looks really nice too.

Appreciate the feedback, it just supports what I initially saw, albeit very quick. ... plus there was demo of a sat>IP client running OpenATV with 8 virtual tuners, so it all should work
It maybe down to the difference in implementation of some of the recent tuner code between ViX and ATV.... certainly all the ViX error msg's were in this area.... then again it could be just a crap SAT>IP box that I am testing.
I should be able to resume testing tomorrow, as my wife will be going to London for 2 days so my cooking will be down to bacon and eggs... and fries...and will have the time to play.

5.3. To be fair I think I jumped the gun a bit, been using it for a couple of hours but seems a little flakey, definitely an improvement over how it was with openvix but not "perfect".

Good old German box, but has some negative comments like most of them including the Triax, so I will be really interested in how it works for you ..... still have 25 days and counting on mine

Unless i'm missing something here, I really do not see the benefit of sat ip over using fall back tuners and remote channel stream convertor. These can used without using any special SAT-IP server on E2 boxes.
