What your best off doing is setup abm to see how the channels generate then download my plugin and run abm then you'll see how it works

    Hi mate,

So if I go for a cable only box like the Vu Solo SE V2 can I still get ABM to sort through Sky UK? I always though that selection in ABM depended on the source of the channels I.e. Sly or virmin!!

If you only have a cable only receiver, you can only receiver cable. If you have a satellite only receiver, you can only receive freesat/sky etc. So to answer your question is No.

RedDevil, you need a combo receiver (satellite & cable) to do what you require. 1/ You need Virgin (cable) and 2/ You need Sky (satellite) then 3/ you can use a CustomMix (xml) file to swap NON working Sky HD channels with the (Virgin) Sky HD ones. Dsayers and myself have already explained this. You CANNOT get sky without a satellite receiver and likewise with Virgin. You can't just buy a satellite receiver and expect to get Virgin channels, you need an STB that has cable tuners, just like you need STB with satellite tuners to receive Sky.

    Not sure I explained clearly...

I know you can't get virgin without cable etc. And vice versa for satellite, I'm a rather tech savvy guy...

My plan is to buy the Mutant HD51 which is a combo receiver (as mentioned above) due to its cracking reviews and the ability to receive both sat and cable...

Just to confirm, I set both tuners up and get the box working, I then use DSayers Xml and that will make the bouquets I have created through ABM into 1 set of bouquets like sky by slotting the Virgin HD channels in with the Sky Bouquet (or something along those lines)

    Am I correct?

I am planning on calling WoS this afternoon to see if they have DVB-C tuners in stock yet for the Mutant HD51 as when I called last week they unfortunately weren't in stock.

Sort of. ABM will use the xml file to insert channel from one provider into the bouquets of the other when it runs.

You must set up ABM as per instructions in Dsayer's thread and then run ABM. The .xml file will not do anything on its own.

I decided to go for the TM Nano SE M2 with 2 DVB-c and 1 DVB-S tuners as the mutant wasn't in stock and 4K isn't a must as of yet.

Multituner doesn't mean you can connect satellite & cable at the same time at all. You can either use it as a satellite tuner, or as a terrestrial tuner or as a cable tuner.

This is not entirely correct. This tuner can be set for DVB-S2, then have either BOTH DVB-S2 & DVB-C or DVB-S2 & DVB-T/T2 connected at the SAME time. Abm is then cable of scanning BOTH services, BUT only ONE of the services can be watched and recorded at the same time.

These above applied to the OS Mini+ also.

From his wording he thinks he can connect a satellite feed & a cable feed into the multituner at the same time.
