'Skip Services on not configured sats' what exactly does that mean?

    Hi

I am configuring an xtrend 8500 with cable and satellite pointing at 19.2 Astra

In ABM I am setting up so that 'Skip Services on not configured sats' is set to No. I then run ABM and find that a great deal of the channels are not highlighted in the channel list. Why is this exactly? Is it because my old lnb does not cover the channel range.

also I have noticed that ABM for Moviestar does not pick La2 channel at all. Is this missing from ABM channel list. I tried even do an automatic scan and can't find it....
    strange...

When you use ABM, you do not scan You read the data on the satellite regarding channel tuning data.

Some providers have services on more than one satellite. As an example, Getting data from 19.2 for some providerd will also include some services on 23.5 If you don't have 23.5 configured, the 23.5 channels will be greyed out.
