As title, what is the best vu+ box to buy in the 200 to 250 price bracket.. Or is there another brand that others would highly recommend.

The Vu+ Solo2 is a cracking stb. The Edison OS mega has good reviews too.

Depends what you want to receive. Solo2 is excellent but only has satellite tuners. It's a fewyears old but still has the performance of most other receiver in that price range.
OS Mega gives you an extra tuner and the ability to tune terrestrial and cable, and open H265 codec. Spend a little bit more and you get the Octagon SF4008 which let's you watch 4k and multistream channels.
