Are Vu+ Models "Standard" Across Europe/UK?

    Hi All,

Just wondering if the Vu+ models of receivers that are sold in European counties like France, Germany etc would work without issue in the UK? Also, if they have the satellite tuners like DVB-S/S2 already in them, are they also compatible to work in the UK as well?

    Many Thanks!

Yeah I think so. The ones supplies by the sponsor come with an adapter to convert the euro supplied plug so I'd say yeh

There is no difference at all between the Vu+ models sold in the U.K or the E.U barring the need for a plug adapter which costs pennies. In fact most if not all U.E supplies also give a full 2 year warranty as standard over the 12 month U.K warranty, but remember you would have to pay shipping to return any unit for warranty repairs (as is normal practice) and thats where it would become expensive, shipping to a different country.

    Hi,

Very many thanks for the definitive response & confirming what the first replier thought so as well - great to finally know! Just ask again, are the satellite tuners inside European models (DVB-S2, DVB-T, DVB-C etc) also fully usable & compatible in the UK?

    Many Thanks!

Yes there all identical hardware wise, it's the software that tells the tuner what to look for and where to tune etc.
