Newbie - flashing question related to recordings

Apologies upfront for asking newbie question.

Recently got an Edision OS Mega with internal 1TB drive installed for holding recordings etc - been playing around with different images and getting to know the system.

One issue am encountering though is that on a reflash the 1TB drive is being wiped.

Is there a way to preserve recordings through a reflash ?

    Thanks for all/any help/pointers

Impossible HDD is being wiped on a reflash. You must be initialising on every reflash.

    Embarrassingly ... Operator error I think :-(

I had assumed (without checking - my bad) the 1TB drive was separate to the boot drive. Its not.

So turns out only one drive in box - will need to add second drive.

    Tx

There isn't a boot drive. The "Operating System" is on the internal flash memory.
