As I said, I'm no expert. My ET8000 flashed with the latest vix without any problems, but I couldn't get the sundtek set up. Every time the box wouldn't reboot, and I tried everything. I'll try the vix again when I get the idea that the issue has been sorted.

That will be because there hasn't been a kernel upgrade on that model.

As I said I'm no expert, I flashed the latest vix with no problems but I couldn't install the sundtek. My ET8000 wouldn't reboot and I tried it multiple times in multiple ways. It worked first time on openpli. I will try vix again when issue is resolved.

Let's hope it won't be too long, it's not been working on the new kernel for over a month now, and no progress has been made as far as I'm aware.

Just flashed my ET10000 with ViX 5.0. Problem seems to be the same.

A reply to what? There's nothing on the thread attached to the original commit, nor to my rejected pull request (despite me asking questions on both).

I opened up an issue, as requested, and 6 weeks later, after adding another comment today, there was a reply, as @twol has indicated.

Hopefully, a new update means what it says, rather than the (obvious) solution of going back to the original kernel.

Except that he last comment on that thread was mine - 9 days ago. The original request from Sicilian was

Check the issues button at the top of that link, you'll find it there.
