    ABM can not read data

    Hi guys, running a gigablue hd quad plus. ABM for 28.2 comes up with message CANNOT READ DATA. Virmin runs fine. this has only started happening today. Reflashed image and initial manual ABM worked but would not read data after that. Any ideas?

    Your lnb / dish / cabling could have become affected by recent bad weather, the frequency ABM uses can have problems yet you can still useually tune loads of channels. Find the ABM frequency and try to manually lock on to it.

    I had a feeling it could've been the cable. I got the old thin cable with flimsy connectors which keep coming loose. I'll try new cable and test the lnb and report back.

    Ok the sat guy has been. Faults found;

    Dish - reflection completely worn away (18 years old).
    Lnb - only 57% signal.
    Cable - Rg59 old with loose f connector.

    Replaced dish and lnb. Now have 97% signal and Rg59 replaced with rg6 with compression fit connector. All is back to how it was now.

    £60 all in. That was zone 1 mk4 dish with quad lnb and about 10m cable.
