Robert with the greatest respect to you, im no sat box expert, and i have tried several times
including doing a factory reset, then installing from the feeds with the same result, "No Module Named htmlentitydefs"
once I tried Judges Telnet solution " Bingo " all working and I am running the latest ver of Openvix 4.0.023
If its not broken don't attempt to fix it, it could get alot worse "

I'll assume that is a typo for 4.2.023, and point out again that htmlentitydefs is installed by default.

    And it installs....

    Hi.

OK got IPTV Player to run on my machine but no stream will play.

I have put a USB stick in the back and when I get a list of streams to play for a channel, it just says "There is no free space on the drive (hdd/movie)"

Is it not possible to play the stream without recording it? Also, the on demand stuff will not play either -it just jumps back out back to TV.

Hope you can help please? I am new to this application so please bear with me. I am nearly there!

It does not record, it buffers to the HDD.

Which version of iptv player have you got?

The reason is my receiver is using a stable build of OpenVix. The ET8000 uses Hades which I could possibly update, and the satellite one uses OpenVix 3 - but it is stable.

They are ancient ViX builds.... but if you are happy on those builds then that is fine, but sometimes comes at a price... no latest plugins etc possible

The plugin installs what it needs. However, some items could be image related.

It also has an update check. As you have decided to keep the version of the plugin you are using a secret, how do you expect people to help?

I updated to 01/01/2018 to test. I-Player works.

Also the OE-A has been updated to handle the iptv-player dependencies, so the next ViX build should handle iptv-player better .... an incentive for anyone who uses this plugin to update their images

If the current image was unstable, you'd think that the forum would be full of complaints.

If in doubt, make an image backup. You can flash it back if you dislike the new one.
