Thanks for the reply but I'm not exactly sure what you mean john?
The DCC connected with my VU box but just would not connect to my router for some reason. It showed up when I searched but simply would not connect. Anyway, I've gone back to where I was originally now (Blackhole) so problem solved - for now at least

    Thanks again

I use DCC and have found recently, on the connection screen it show the line to my router in red but I can still go to the FTP page and use it normally. (FTP Connected and Telnet Connected both have green against them at the bottom.)

An older version works fine. I believe version 1.41.

    Alternatively use:
Notepad++ as the default text editor
    Filezilla for transfers
    Putty for issuing commands

Thanks guys for the additional replies

I did actually try that techygirl and it seemed to work but when I rebooted nothing had transferred.

What is even more confusing is that this only happened when I installed OpenVix. When I went back to B hole again everything starts working as it should again...?? Got me beat anyway

Choosing an image because of or lack of a tool such as DCC is beyond me, don,t people like a little challenge to learn alternative means?
