    Observation

My EPG shows the program name to be American Dad! (with an exclamation mark at the end)
You setting seem to be for American Dad without the exclamation

A exact match for American Dad will not find American Dad!

Are you losing the exclamation mark when setting up the autotimer? Perhaps a skin issue with 'special' characters????? Maybe set the each match option to partial match (first delete the entries in the timers list)

Ah okies, I've deleted original timer and redone using partial match, still no repeat circle though

That's because the timers aren't repeating. They are one-offs. The AutoTimer will create them as it finds matches.

A repeating timer is a different beast - when you want to record a particular channel at a particular time each day/week/etc regardless of what is on.

    Auto timer

Ah okies I've got you now so I'll just watch for the recordings coming in, I was expecting it to show the repeat circle like a big standard timer recording
