advice for a newbie please peeps

    hi peeps,
on the look out for an new stb to replace a blade media 7000 hooked up to a sky mini dish that was installed 7ish years ago..
i was wondering will it be possible with this dish to record any one channel while watching another as her indoors would like to record the odd show/series without the need to change lnb and/or cabling?

well is it a single, double, quad etc lnb. ?

if its a single lnb then a twin tuner can record 1 service and watch another on the same frequency,
if a twin lnb then a twin tuner can record 1 service on 1 frequency and watch another on a different frequency.

Look outside or at the back of your tv n see if you have a single or twin cable coming in.

you can get a unicable lnb for about 15 pounds and splitter for less than 5. This would negate need for replacing cable.
