ABM for Terrestial doesn't support all transmitters?

    Hi All,

ABM doesn't seem to work for me. I have no suitable transmitter that I can select and selecting an alternative simply results in nothing found. I have set the receiver up manually with no problem and made my own bouquets but what happens when the channels change (which they seem to do on a weekly basis)? Also, is there an easy way of adding my transmitter to ABM? I assume it uses the frequencies specific to the transmitter to speed up the scan. I am using Oliver's Mount at Scarborough.

    Thanks.

    Keith

Thanks, I will give that a try. I don't see Olivers Mount listed so maybe I am the only one trying to use it! I did see that thread but assumed it was for people who were more familiar with the machine than I currently am.

    Code:
    https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/tv/Olivers_Mount
    1. Delete all channel data, scan only the frequencies listed in above link, 57,60,53,54,58,49 . Upload your lamedb as an attachment. If you also have a lamedb5, attach that too. Both files are in /etc/enigma2/

2a. Delete all channel data. Update ABM provider/config file. Select newly added region
2b. Check that all SD channels work

    3. HD channels will be added later for you. However, ABM will find them if you scan the frequencies with them first, 53.

Thanks. I updated the ABM provider/config file and Oliver's Mount was on there and ABM ran this time. However, it produced a lot of channels with no signal. When I checked, it had used channels 51 and 47, for example, which aren't valid channels. A normal automatic scan has put it back to normal. I am running 4.1.016 on Miraclebox premium twin plus (4.2 has some driver issues with the box).

    Thanks.

Update provider and try ABM again. Check that channels work.

    Hi,

That almost works, but still puts BBC News on channel 47 whereas it is on 57 so I get "tune failed" when I switch to that channel.

    Thanks,

    Keith

    Please re-read post 4.

If the request is not clear, please say so.
If you need help, please say so.

We'd like a lamedb that only contains services from the frequencies listed. The command to delete all channel data bouquets is here

When it stops recording I will have another go. Is it OK to delete the channel data by selecting "delete channel data" on the first manual scan?

    Thanks.

It will only delete the frequencies it scans. The data for other frequencies will remain. So no.

You are getting signal from another mast, this is why we need you to start from a blank system and only scan the frequencies for your mast.

Update config files, run ABM, check all channels work.

OK, I followed the instructions and all channels are there and working but with 4 spurious ones on channel 56 which come up with "tune failed" when selected. I don't understand where they have come from. I only manually scanned 49,53,54,57,58,60 to generate the lamedb I uploaded.

    Thanks.

    Keith.
