has anyone got any experience with these set-ups?

im looking for something like the above, so I can add this to my TV, I have some Phillips hue led strips, but they don't do quite the same thing.

what do you use? does it work well? what kit is involved with it?

I did until I had to move the TV but haven't connected it back up since. What's the problem?

    @rossi2000 yes!

I have an odd problem I am trying to solve.

    Running openvix-5.0.021 on a Vu+ Duo2

    LED Kit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/60-RGB-CRE...-/262423666797

    Enigmalight plugin
    - Installs fine, starting the lights throws an error at first about a config file not being found, press start again and they turn on fine.
    - I need to add a delay of 2 FPS to make the lights sync with my picture as right now they go on slightly before the picture (annoying.) When I add a delay with the plugin settings the LED's go into "crazy disco mode" which ruins the effect. Its hard to explain but they seem super sensitive and can flash on and off rapidly.

    Boblight plugin
    - Installs ok
    - However reboot box and will find otherwise, it boots enough to let you in via SSH, but otherwise just hangs on the boot screen.
    - Tried this on a fresh install this morning to be sure it was this plugn that caused it.
    - Looked in logs, seemed to be stuck after it updated time via ntp server and then did something with the video driver,

    Any ideas welcome!

    Updated

Fixed error on Enigmalight, just had to create a dir so it could save log files.

Still no closer to understanding the delay issue, next will have to look at code! :s

Further update for anyone that also tries this setup

Don't mess with the delay setting at all, instead focus on the Interval setting, currently got mine up at 0.28 and its much more synced with the video now with less "disco" mode
