Sorry i'm not getting this at all. I run a blind scan as shown In Screenshots and the channels clear.
But when ABM run i get tuner lock. I suppose a lnb replacement may sort it but can't see any correlation between ABM failure and lnb.

As a result I don't know where the root cause of the problem is.

There are option on your scan setup which are not shown. If any of those say anything about network scan, this is the "Here is a list of what I should have."

Let us leave ABM to one side. Why does a normal scan (not blindscan) of 11778 frequency fail?

11778 isn't a defined frequency , what channel should it be? Lyngsat doesn't show a frequency allocation.

It is the frequency that Sky receivers use. You can double check the engineer's menu if you do not believe me.

There are no "proper" viewable channels, this is why it is not listed in the xml file and not listed as a predefined transponder. ETBG should be there if you scanned and was found succesfully. You already tried to scan it before.

Anyway, we are going round and round in circles. You insist it is finding all channels AND they are VIEWABLE. (Viewable = you can select them and watch the channel without getting a tune failed message).
You insist that AFTER ABM has run, the channels are no longer selectable. I have tried to explain you are getting this WHILE ABM tries to run. As it cannot lock onto the frequency it needs, it fails and does nothing, so can't be the culprit. "While" is not the same as "after". I have tried to explain receiver works at your place, so it cannot be a receiver issue.

I don't think I can help any further.

If blindscan works and abm doesn't it means the lnb is knackered. Local oscillator is off frequency. ABM looks for channels where they are supposed to be. Blindscan looks everywhere so finds them even when they are in the wrong place.

Do a blind scan and post the lamedb file.

    Ok, cheers guys for feedback.
Seriously i don't know whats going on.
Abu, I'm not saying I don't believe as i don't understand what's going on. Clearly it must be the lnb as that is the common denominator in all this process of elimination.

can you manually scan the ABM frequency and show us the screen shot?
if your dish is slightly of alighnment it maybe possible to scan in hundreds of channels but not possible to read all the information from 11778 successfully, just one error in the data will fail the process, i've seen it before.

    hello All,

Just to put some closure on this.
Frequency scan of 11778 on the OSMINI produced 0 channels. Swapped out lnb and rescanned - all ok!
Also reran ABM and no tuner lock.

Thanks for everyone's feedback on this post especially Abu who continually preserved with the diagnosis with utmost patience.
