Softcam Manager Problem

Had to re flash my box with latest vix image, would not restore previous settings. Have installed the IPK file from tmp folder, but when I try and Install local extension it comes up with the following after pressing green button

Execution progress:
/bin/sh: syntax error: unexpected "("
Execution finished!!

I then follow the prompts to restart, when I check the softcam Manager it is blank??

Had the box 3 years now and only the 3rd time I've re flashed, both other times there were no issues!

Any suggestions please, not really an expert on this as you can probably gather!

cant help you with that error message, but you should try to download the softcam you need from the plugins feed on your box.

As Roy0110 states, install from plugins. This version does not allow restores etc.

If installed from plugins why do you mention TMP local install? If you FTP do you see the cam in ETC/softcams? Try another cam from plugins?
