Is it possible to record to a networked drive rather than a local drive?

I am looking to buy an Edison OS Mini on Friday and I already have a Home Server running with 7TB of storage space.

Is it possible to record to a shared drive/folder on the server rather than local storage on the box? If not I'll look at the Xtrend boxes instead as then I could install an internal drive.
