    Kodi isn't available for the Xtrend. The official Vu+ Kodi is only available for the Vu+ Solo SE v2, Vu+ Solo 2, Vu+ Duo 2 and the Vu+ Solo 4K.

    Use iptv media player,It will give you most of the streams and works well on the et 8500

    Fully agree there andy,iptv media player is very good and runs very well on the 8500,All film and series steams work very well and you can online update,No bugs unlike kodi

    You will need to google it and find the latest ipk file and ftp to your tmp folder and install it.

    I've searched downloads on the ET8500 and found "mediaplayer (5.3+git18786).
    Is this suitable?
    I've found a few different IPTV players on the Internet. Is there a recommended choice?

    In that case i have uploaded the file here for anyone looking for the iptv media player,I have also put it in the ET 8500 Firmware section,Download the file and ftp it to var,volatile,tmp folder and then go to vix and install local extension

    Just ftp it to your .tmp folder
    Then Blue button > vix > install local extension.
