Best cabling and Splitter for Xtrend ET8500?!

Suffering with some glitching & freezing and I've a feeling it's my handy work cables?! :/
I'm using a 2way splitter (5-1000mhz), but still struggling with picture

Any recommendations would be gratefully received

Use an Attenuator on each tuner.

    Thanks Sicilia
    I've just looked this up.
My DVB/S2 appears fine, but my tuner A (DVB/C) is not.

I also wouldn't know if my signal was a good or poor quality in order for the attenuator to work as stated in the article?!

Too strong a signal could cause your issue, so could too weak. Try an Attenuator. They only couple of quid on Amazon or maplins.

    What db do you recommend?
Or shall I just buy two and both if one doesn't work?
    I.e:10 or even 20db attenuator?

I would always buy a variable attenuator that allows you to adjust to your environment
    Gigablue Quad 4K & UE 4K
    .........FBC Tuners:
    ------------------> GT-Sat unicable LNB to 1.5M dish(28.2E)
------------------> Gigablue unicable LNB to 80 cm dish(19.2E)
    .......................> FBC & DVB-S2X into 90cm dish (27.5W) Opticum robust Unicable LNB
    AX HD61, Edision Osmio 4K+, Zgemma H9Combo, Octagon SF8008 , gbtrio4k, h9se using unicable ports
    Zgemma H9 C/S into Giga4K

    Hi Twol
I've just been searching some more on these variable attenuators There are so many to choose from....
However, I do have a Maplins in Town, but it looks like they just stock this - http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/variable-a...tenuator-a03ht

Just been watching this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxEoFW44Pf4 Guessing it's this one I need?

    Will this suffice? - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cable-TV-V...25.m3641.l6368

Do these Variable attenuators connect straight into the back of the boxes......?
    Because I have a loopthrough from Tuner A to B I'm guessing I need 2no. variable attenuators?
