    Network/Router setting problem???

I have changed my TM Twin for an ET10000...

TM is now on the tv in the bedroom and working OK.

ET10000 is nearly unwatchable due to freezing every 10 seconds for 10 seconds...

I have messed about with the router and network settings on the box and can improve it with some things and make it worse doing others..

So, question is whats the best network and router settings?

Ive tried port forwarding but dont know what type it is (tried TCP) also dont know the port numbers.. Ive tried probing different port numbers form a site on the net but no connection.

I did nt have any of these problems with the TM Twin...

Can anyone help with an idoits guide to router settings?

Its a BT home hub 5. I have Infinity 2 which comes down at 82mbpm...

The router settings should have no bearing on you picture freezing. What is your setup. Sat or cable. What channels does it freeze on.

you dont need port forwarding unless you are trying to access the box from outside your house.

As for network settings - ensure that the link on the box is set for 100MB / full duplex and ideally Gigabit if the box supports it.

Daft question, I'm sure, but why do you think it's a network problem?

What are you trying to do which requires network access?
