Help trying to change from BH to Vix and the USB flash process won't work

My VU+ Solo SE V2 came from WOS with Black Hole but all the guides I have for setting stuff up ae specific to Open Vix so I have followed the USB flashing steps on the OpenVix website.
However when i start up the box with the USB connected it goes through the led flashing sequence as expected. The problem is when it goes into the repeated flash on off sequence that is supposed to take 2 to 4 inutes it just goes on forever.

I have tried two different USB sticks one 16GB and one 2GB in various USB ports on the box and can't get it to work.

Can I reflash the box to OpenVix in some other way not using USB?

    Regards

Got fed up waiting so took out USB and booted. Now it's running VIX.

Just need to set it all up now.

yes, that's the way it should be.
after flashing, turn off the box, remove USB and turn the box on again.
