I am confused mister
so are you saying if I re install vix 4 and then download vu kodi plugin I can set up from post 16 and use areswizard it will/should work?
or I must hope VU come up with a fix

well I reinstalled vix 3.2 which didnt have kodi but xbmc (which didnt work) and then ran the upgrade to vix 4 and reinstalled the kodi plug in and the sons skin was still there.
how do I get back to a completely new install of kodi without some remanent of the old xbmc remaining?

I dont own a Vu buddy.. So i can give you an honest answer.. But i myself have not tried it for the reasons stated..
Ive tested on Amazon Fire Sticks.. Fire Boxes.. MX boxes.. Galaxy Tab 4 .. and no issues on any..
But try it with the ares wizard.. and see how it goes..
Dont forget.. Kodi is still new on linux receivers.. So teething problems are to be expected..
Ill do a frsh tutorial for Ares Wizard now..
Tutorial on using Ares Wizard :
When you open a clean virgin kodi for the 1st time..
Highlight system and press down
File Manager
Press OK twice and keyboard opens up
Type this url :
Then click Done and then click on OKCode:http://areswizard.srve.io/aw_zip
Press back button until back on kodi home screen
Highlight System > Addons > Install from zip file
Hightlight Ares Wizard from the menu and click ok
A box will open up in bottom right corner stataing " Ares Wizard - Addon Enabled "
Press back button again until back on kodi home screen
Select Programs > Program Addons > Ares Wizard > Wait for 10-15 seconds > Dont touch.. I said 10-15 seconds > Webpage opens up > Select " Browse Builds "
Scroll down through the list of different builds until you come to Orroo ( Number 96 i think this afternoon )
Select Orroo > Wait 10 secs > Page will change and you will see the 3 Orroo builds available
Highlight the one your want and press the right arrow button to highlight install.. and Click OK
Your downlaod should now have started.
Wait until asked if you want to back up your skin > I select " No "
Then you will be asked to force close Kodi > Select " Yes "
Allow force close and then run Kodi.. You shoulld now have the build enabled.

sorry mister I wasnt having a go at you and I didnt realise you hadnt a VU box
I just cant seem to find a way to totally remove VU kodi and all xbmc files ,so I can try a brand new install of VU kodi
I tried to uninstall Kodi via remove plugin option but it does not remove it completely. I think it will need the files removing via FTP. I would start a new thread titled - How do i uninstall Kodi from VU

I seem to be going round in circles ,I am not even sure if it will work if I can get to a clean install of kodi.
Does it work on your box ok .I get the impression it does but am not sure after misters comments about its a VU issue.

There's a hidden .kodi folder on your storage device, use telnet & issue:
Code:rm -rf /hdd/.kodi

I have completed the first stage and escaped back to home screen,but after I select system/addons/ install from zip file I get a file
script.areswizard0.0.39 zip appear
If I highlight this file and press ok the screen returns to the choices screen my addons/install from zip/install from repository/search/system
I must be doing some thing wrong but cant see what,Im going to abandon it for today
If you go into programs is Ares Wizard there?
