they might be part of the oe-a
but they have yet to share anything with the oe-a....

maybe they dont understand the thing they are part of, the clues in the name OE-Alliance.

Does this mean its not available for xtrend units. or just not compatible? been using the Kodi-direct, but would be great to get a more user-friendly interface if possible?

    Hi,
XBMC/Kodi are working with gles graphic routines. If a driver of a STB does not support it Kodi will not work.

I've been using a backup image of Vix with Kodi 15.2 pre-installed that was on another forum and haven't noticed any problems at all either with Kodi but more important with Vix image.

I emailed the developer of that image & he suggested you can upgrade to version 37 by online update ( provided you are not using a cloned box) & you will still keep your kodi 15.2, will definitely try it this weekend.

I was under the impression that 37 had to be a usb flash, with no plugin restore?

    Kodi 15.2 on E2 receivers

I have installed modified vix image with kodi 15.2, had issues with networking initially on my box but it was resolved by restoring settings from my previous backup. Updated to version 37 & so far everything seems fine

Im am reading a lot of posts about this "modified vix image" can someone point me to it (if allowed) also, do the vix team have any plans to implement this? can my xtrend et 8000 run kodi? and is this a fully original kodi, i.e. like the one I have on my r-pi android and pc?

Further update, I am very impressed with modified vix image with kodi 15.2, working flawlessly, have got full vix functionality & have been able to update to version 37 with no issues. It has stopped all of mine xbmc crash logs which I used to get on xbmc 13.2 previously. Well recommended

Set refresh rate on your box to multi, playback a 24hz film and check the input feed to your TV, usually info button.
