    Telnet & FTP Clients

    FileZilla is an Open Source (GNU/GPL) FTP client for Windows, Mac OS X and GNU/Linux. nice powerful FTP client.

    Putty is a Telnet client.

    Both allow the communication with your receiver along with file transfer and setting file permissions.

    Dont forget Winscp which is a powerfull SFTP/FTP client, and is freeware
