    RSCC, EPG & Picons.

Hello, due to some unfortunate circumstances i currently have my elderly Mother in Law living in my dining room (snapped ankle in 3 places, 3 plates, ouch).
I have set up a TV and and solo2 combination for her in there running Remote stream channel converter (no cable or sat feed in the dining room).
This works well apart from i can't get picons to show for the channels, do they have to be renamed to the full stream name to work??
Also i know this has been asked before but how is it possible to import EPG data? I have tried importing rytec UK lists for VM and UKTV but it doesn't marry up with the channels, is there a way that the solo2 could load the epg from my duo2 once a day, and that the data contained in that would indeed match the stream references?
    Thanks.

I'm running similar with SNP picons installed on USB stick, showing fine here.

    My setup as follows:

    Client box Solo SE.
    Server box Solo4K.
Mount HDD from 4K to Solo SE as HDD replacement.
Set EPG location as the mounted HDD.
Solo SE, Menu > Setup > System > EPG > Setting > Automatic refresh to every 12 hours.
    Solo4K, Menu > Setup > System > EPG > Setting > Automatic save to every 4 hours.

You may need to reboot after setting the above on your Solo2.

Thanks for the reply, will try that when she wakes, just as a matter of interest, can i still use internal HDD for timeshift, i wouldn't want solo2 trying to timeshift to duo2.

Yep you, change timeshift settings to suit your mounts. You could mount internal HDD to /media/hdd2 and set timeshift accordingly.

Also if You the fallback tuner rather than RSCC you can use exactly the same bouquets as on the main box.
I was using RSCC but hated the bouquet names that result ..... With fallback tuner, I just slam across the "master" bouquets to all the receivers .. And then disable the tuners on the slave boxes (usually my Wetek and ET7500).
I also use the same picons across receivers and XLMTV importer for all epg,s

I have this setup now, internal hard drive is set as HDD2, duo2 is set as replacement HDD, epg and picons from duo2 now load on solo2.
I have set timeshift to media/hdd2/Timeshift but any attempt to pause and playback or rewind and playback leads to a stuttering garbled mess... So I disabled timeshift and set recording location to media/hdd2/Movie and tried to record the channel I'm streaming, this also leaves the screen a garbled mess.
Maybe this doesn't work properly, not bothered like as long as epg and picons do.
