Cool use 2 hdds in extrend 9500

Hi first post so apologies if its been covered or id=s in the wrong forum but ive found it a bit hard to navigate and search

ive fitted a 320gb 2.5sate hdd in my xtrend 9500 running openvix and all is good. just set up PTS to wind back live tv.

I also have a 1TB external usb HDD.

can I use the internal purely for PTS and the external to record programmes and would this way round be the best option? (ie is internal better for PTS or programmes and vice versa)

if so how do I set it up

    many thanks people

Yes this can be done. In mount manage assigne /media/hdd and media/hdd1 or whatever is listed. Then set the recording/timeshift paths accordingly.

Normally there is no reason for using different locations/drives for TS and recordings.
However: using an external HDD for recording, might be to much for the USB when recording multiple HD stream simultaneous. In the case the internal HDD could be used for TS.

Or better: get the HDD out of the USB-case and build it into the box. So you have one large internal HDD for everything.
