    Remote channel stream converter help!

    Hi guys.

I am trying to link my Duo2 and my Zero using remote channel stream converter.

I've installed the extension on my client box (zero) and have connected the 2 boxes via Ethernet.

When I go into service searching > Remote channel stream converter - it comes up 'select bouquets to convert'. There is nothing there however so I select the yellow button 'set server IP' assuming I have to manually insert the master box's details.

I entered the IP of the Duo2 but it says 'could not connect to remote IP'.

    What am I doing wrong?

Do both receivers have valid IP addresses?

    Password etc is 100%.

It says IP unconfirmed on the zero.

    How do I sort that?

Am I correct in assuming that you have a network cable between the two receivers?

They are both meant to be connected to the router.

    My bad.

Is it ok to wire the client box to an extender as opposed to the actual router?

It's in my basement so the logistics are a pain...

The two devices must be on same network and must have a stable connection. However you do it.

Some extenders work by using another IP range if this is the case, you may need to enable passive FTP, do you know if both boxes are using the same IP range?

Buy yourself a cheap network switch and just plug them into that save messing trying to get other things to work.

Guys - many thanks for the info.

Decided to use homeplugs and I'm almost there.

The boxes are connected to my router and I have managed to download the bouquets using remote channel stream converter.

I press TV and the bouquets are there with remote of 182.168... etc but when I select a channel the openvix screensaver appears and a message saying:

X No data on transponder! (Timeout reading PAT)

My Duo2 is on standby so both tuners should be free.

Is there something else I need to change?

Are you sure you downloaded the bouquets from the DUO2, and not from the Zero itself? As that message should never show using an external box.

Also do you have a password set on the duo2?

Yes - definitely using the bouquets from the Duo2.

There is a password and I'm logged in successfully.

I press TV and this list comes up.

When I select a channel however the Openvix screensaver shows up and the transponder message appears.

Not sure if it matters, but how have you configured the tuner on the zero. Set it to not configured, again not sure if it matters.

No, that makes no difference indeed. I have tuners configured and use RCSC without any issues.
