issues with xbmc kodi genisys on VU+ DUO2

Hi all just wondered if anyone can help I had xbmc working for several months till about 2 months ago when every time I click on a file to play it say failed script error. now I've setup my sisters new box with vix image same as me and she gets the same error. is there something that's changed or does anyone know a noobs guide to setting it up again to get it working.

these next 2 questions are unrelated but any help would be great

Also I have an issue when I have setup my sisters where the vu+ duo2 seems to not fit on the screen I didn't see any settings on setup to adjust this and ive gone in the settings and adjusted it to every setting and still it doesn't fit on the screen ive checked her tv settings and that doesn't make any difference does anyone have any ideas.

Would there also be any reason why my sisters box only seems to record one channel yet mine is the same box and I can record 7. she has receivers A,B and C and I only have A and B so I would imagine she can do more than I should be able to. is this just a setting or something that needs to be adjusted.

1, This just happens, Normally you need to refresh the plug in, sometimes the genesis server is just so rammed.
2, If you mean the overlay does not fit this is normally adjusted during the first boot process, later on it can be set in user interface. if you mean that the entire picture is too small then that would be an overscan setting in the TV or if it is really small then it could be an HDMI hdmi issue.
3, impossible to say without knowing what feeds and tuner / satellite / cables setup you both have.
