    Autobouquets E2 Not Auto Updating

    Hi,

I'm running VIX Hades build 11 on a number of different VU+ machines (Ultimo, Duo2, Solo2 & Zero). Automatic updates of Autobouquets E2 (date version 28 April 2015) are set to run daily at 01:00. On the Autobouquet overview screen, the 'Next' field correctly identifies that the next scan is to be run the following day, but this scan doesn't actually appear to happen. The Autobouquet log file hasn't shown an update since I last did a manual scan. I think I've been having this problem for quite a while now (even back in the Apollo days).

Anyone else got this problem, or is this specific to my setup? Any advice?

    TIA.

You'd need to enable debug logs in image to capture why it was not happening.

I've captured a few days worth of data and posted a copy of the debug log to my file server. I've sent you a PM with login details. Problem is still occuring.

    Thx.

Thanks for looking. I've sent a PM to LraiZer. I didn't realise he still visited this forum.

For general info, I 've had a look through the debug log, and can see the following, which seems to imply that the scheduled update ran correctly on Monday at 01:00am (the day after I did a manual update & rebooted the box to enable debug logs). This matches the autobouquets.log file which also shows that it updated on Monday morning. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to run on Tuesday morning. I can't see anything in the logs, although I can see that CrossEPG has been running on Tuesday at 04.00am, so the log file does cover the Tuesday period, when AutoBouquets should have run (Tuesday at 01.00am).

    Debug Log:
    Code:

Still struggling with this. Been trying to find out how the scheduled task runs, but can't see how it's being done. Not had any feedback to my PM from LraiZer yet either. I tried to register at the UkCvS site so I could send him a PM over there, but I can't register because the verification image on the registration page doesn't seem to be loading correctly. Any further help would be appreciated.

Has anyone else been able to replicate this problem, or is it just me??? I'm seeing the issue on all my VU boxes, but I guess it could still be a problem at my end, since all my boxes are set up pretty much the same. Unfortunately I've still not been able to get hold of LraiZer.

Until we get an answer, you may wish to have a cron timer. Or even try ABM?

I'm struggling to get ABM to work exactly the way I would like. I would like to swap my FTA / FTV SD channels with the HD equivalents. It also seems to swap Channel 5 HD which is an encrypted channel. I've set it up as follows:

    FreeSat (UK): no
    Sky ROI: no
    Sky UK: yes
    Sky UK: area: Grampian SD
    SkyUK: FTA only: no
Sky UK: generate main bouquet: yes
Sky UK: generate sections bouquets: yes
Sky UK: generate HD bouquet: no
Sky UK: generate FTA bouquet: yes
Sky UK: generate FTA FTA HD bouquet: yes
    Sky UK: swap channels: yes

It almost works how I would like, but if I go into the entertainment bouquet it shows Channel 5 HD in the fifth position which is an encrypted channel that I can't get. I would prefer this to show the SD channel instead, similar to what I can get with AB E2. Is this possible with ABM?

Yes, and answered multiple times on this forum, including in one of the quotes you used above.

I've revisited the thread I quoted, and still can't find the answer. I must be blind! If you mean that I need to set swap channels to yes, then I've already done that, and I get BBC1, 2, STV & Channel 4 all swapping correctly. It's just that I also get channel 5 swapping, which I don't want. I'll dig further into the forum search to see if I can find the answer elsewhere.

Edit, ok I think I've found the relevant info at http://www.world-of-satellite.com/sh...avourites-list

I wasn't aware that this functionality had been added. Looks like it gives me exactly what I was looking for.

    Thanks
    Chaser.

Ah. I didn't scroll that far through the area. I though 'custom' was about making modifications to the default configuration settings below the area (eg swap channels). Duh!

    Thanks

Edit: Perfect. That's got it working exactly how I wanted it! AB E2 has served me well, but I think it's now time to retire it.
