Using remote control for TV - possible?

Hi - The RC for this box has a TV and STB button at the top.
Would seem to me that the remote can be setup to control the TV - but there's no instructions in the manual

The technomate box I have came with a similar option and instructions to program it's RC, however the same procedure doesn't seem to work for the XPeed LX2 RC. Has anyone tried this?
Holding the TV button down for 5 seconds causes the TV button to light up and start flashing..but i dunno where to go from there.

The remote for my MB Twin came with a set of codes to set it up as a TV remote. You could try them (p48)

    Code:
    http://www.miraclebox.se/main/download/file_kind/manual_file/file_id/34
    MiracleBox Prem Twin HD - 2@DVB-T2 + Xtrend et8000 - 5(incl. 2 different USBs)@DVB-T2[terrestrial - UK Freeview HD, Sandy Heath] - LAN/USB-stick/HDD
