    Can't Set Resolution TO 1080i

Flashed 155 to VU+ Solo and in first install wizard selected hdmi and then 1080i. Screen went blank and could not proceed further. 720p is fine but as TV is then scaling menus don't fit on screen properly. Tried it on 2 different Solo boxes with the same result.

I have restored my 153 backup.

It's a known issue on the Vu+ Solo, not really sure what is causing it but it's the same in the ATV image too as far as I am aware.

Still a problem in 156. This is a big deal for me so I am stuck on 153 until it is resolved. Pli works fine.

Just to add to this I did a fresh flash of 153 and had the same problem. My image backup of 153 restores fine and has 1080i enabled.

So you fresh flashed build 153 & 1080i didn't work. Then made a backup of that build & restored it & 1080i worked fine?
Are you sure you're reporting the correct build numbers so others can test?

No I was running on 153 and did an image backup. Then flashed 156 and 1080i didn't work. Flashed 153 and 1080i didn't work. Flashed my backup of 153 and all was well.

Still confused. A fresh flash of build 153 doesn't work, but a backup of 153 does work?
New VU drivers in current builds, no longer have a Solo to test on, but are you sure it's not the backup causing the problems?
It's either a new driver issue or config issue from a PLI merge that seems to be causing the issue.
The sooner that can be narrowed down, the sooner it can be fixed, if needs be,

No need if TV is enabled properly with overscan turned off.

This is what happens (on 2 different solos). I have been on 153 since it came out. When 156 was released I did a backup of my 153 image. Overscan is turned off on my tv.

I then flashed 156 and in the first install wizard selected Hdmi and then 1080i. When selecting 1080i the screen goes blank and nothing further happens. Pressing any key on the remote does nothing. The only way out is to power cycle. If 720p is selected the menus don't fit on the screen.

I then flashed 153 downloaded from the website and all was as above with 156.

I then restored my image backup of 153 and all is good again.

This does not happen on my duo2 ( but there are other issues).

Exactly same thing for me, as Tkr001, so will stay on 153, with a working 1080i on my Solo, had problem to get 1080i work even on 153, because I am not good enough to solv any issues without very much luck..

We only make the images using the drivers and kernel the Manufacturer's provide. Why don't you pinpoint the exact image that included the updated drivers which broke this for you.

Its not that simple and I don't think it is drivers as I can take a working 153 save the drivers, flash a new 153 which doesn't work, restore the drivers from the working image and it still doesn't work. Also PLi works and I assume they use the same drivers.

I don't know what other info to give you. Has anybody in the test team got a solo to recreate this on? If not I can send you a box but it would have to travel half way sound the world
