Question GUI is "blurred" after manual update from 147 to 153

    Hi all,

after automatic update failed, I got the usb version and manually updated the box from settings. I restored my previous backup, but now the GUI is unclear and appears like it's blurred. The GUI fonts and graphics are unclear.

The video is set to 1080p50hz and always worked perfectly fine.

I can't seem to to be able to change fonts in lcd4linux either.

Any ideas will be much appreciated.

TPretty sure there are driver updates to deal with this issue on the Vu range. They will be included in Apollo 155.

In this case, can I go back to 147?

Do I need to restore to 147 first and then from my 147 backup or can I restore from 147 backup directly and the box will be downgraded?

Any idea when 155 is coming out?

If you have a 147 image backup then just flash that.

155 is out now from openvix.co.uk. However, at the current moment the feeds are down which means no access to plugins.

Once feeds are working again then you could just do fresh flash to 155 and manually setup everything again (remember shouldn't do a restore of settings with 155).

I was about to downgrade, but like you say the feeds are down and I'm glad it's not just me :]

What do you mean by "(remember shouldn't do a restore of settings with 155)"? Are you saying I should start from scratch?

Yes, build 155 requires fresh install with no restore of settings. See this thread.

    Ah I see.

I'd love to keep antilogo settings, any chance I can transfer certain settings manually?

    I know (auto)timers are kept in "/etc/enigma2" with filenames autotimer.xml and timers.xml

As for everything else I set this up clean but doesn't take that long as I have simple 28.2 setup with very few plugins.

Those with multisat, etc will obviously find it more of a pain

ok, after a fresh update to 156, 1080p mode still looks disgusting. I'm restoring everything from scratch now. The gui is set to 1080p, but in fact it's in 720p or whatever...

    Am I missing something?

Is there another tweak to enable true 1080p GUI just like I had on 147? I can't see any 1080p skins in plugins now and I could see them before.. What is happening?

The 1080p skins are there. All the skins are together now

Ok, but the 1080p isn't working properly at all. It's like 720p upscaled to 1080p. Really bad. I hope going back to 147 will fix this as I can't look at this :/

The feeds were not down they were set to unstable due to a issue with the Vu+ ultimo, all other receivers were fine.

Can you give us more of an idea of what you mean it looks disgusting. What screen, skin, etc?

Maybe even a screenshot (not sure normal openwebif will show this blurred thing but if not, maybe phone photo)?
