    octagon sf8 wifi setup problems

    Hi,

I have a sf8 running but joined to the router. I need to move my router away from the unit. I have a usb Wifi adapter that came with the sf8, but I can't get it to work. When it is plugged into windows the adapter comes up as 802.11n USB Wireless LAN Card and is manufactured by Ralink.

Please can somebody point me in the right direction.

    Many thanks

    Phil

I'd advise getting some network home plugs, wifi dongles are just unreliable imo.

hi and thanks Andy, The wifi network is fine, I just need to move the livebox to another part of the house. Currently the SF8 is connected with an adsl cable. But when I bought it there was a usb wifi adapter (small like a car fuse) that goes in the back, this then should connect the SF8 to the network wireless(ly). However when I go to setup on the SF8 I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
