    Updating from Apple device

Hi, I'm using a MacBook air, I've always put my vix images on usb from windows computers. I have formatted my USB stick to MSDOS - downloaded my image onto my Mac and transferred to USB. I just want to check it will be ok to use this to now flash my VU+ Ultimo. Don't want to brick the receiver

    Any advice welcomed

I am also using mac laptops and desktops and have to say that I was unable to flash my receiver, I ended up having to ask a friend who had a pc to load it onto a usb stick formatted to fat and then I was able to flash my receiver, I really hope it works for you

    Regards
    John

If it is not in fat32 file system, update will not be recognised.

Safety wise, there is no extra risk by using a Mac.

EXT formatted USB sticks have always worked for me on multiple random USB sticks.
Never an issue with any box failing to recognise an update via USB. So much easier to couch flash these days though...
