Permanent timeshift plugin for Vu+ Duo

This is even better.
If you want to test the times you go with FTP to the box.
Under / usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/PermanentTimeshift is the currently installed plugin.
That you can just delete and replace the annex.
After a restart Enigma that is then activated.
Below, a screenshot of it. It has a few more options like the old plugin

I've found that to install this plugin on Dream Elite 1.3 you simply ftp the extracted folder to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/ Then reboot the receiver. See attached screenshot. This will then appear in your plugin's list and you can change settings there.

Permanent time shift_1.0.0-rc10 RC10

the latest versoion for Vu+, to use i have found you have to either press yellow or pause then unpause, BEFORE you can use rewind. but it will rewind back where you change to that channel.

Just to add to the above, either install through VTI panel, DE addons manual install or telnet as follows: -

ipkg install  /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-permanenttimeshift_1.0.0-rc10_mipsel.ipk

To remove via telnet use this command: -

ipkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-permanenttimeshift

you need to use an image which has a version of Engima2 later than March 2010. (i use VTI 1.3).

this plug-in has bugs with DreamEilite BH 1.33D/E/F, because it uses Enigma2 date of Jan 2010

to save a TimeShift as recording, press record NOT WHILST IN A TIMESHIFT, to make sure press STOP first. you should then get 2 NEW option in the record menu. save current time-shift or choose which timeshifted event to save.

I've found that rewind is working on this release without having to pause first. Tested using VTI 1.3.

To use instant record with this plugin installed you must press the Record button instead of the usual Red button

Install through VTI panel, DE addons manual install or telnet as follows: -

To remove via telnet use this command: -

* Changes: Show Current-Position instead Remaining-Time on left side in PTS InfoBar
