    Control TV Volume/ On-Off with VU+ Remote

    Hi All

Had a scan on the net and couldnt find any resolution.

Is there a way to control the TV (and amp?) using the VU+ Remote

    I have VU+ Duo, Panasonic TX-L50G10B and Onkyo TXSR507

    Thanks in advance

If you have the newer vu remote you can program it to do pretty much what you want, or try enabling HDMI CEC on the receiver.

    Hi,
you can see if you have a new or old remote on the top left. When you have a TV button on the top left you have a new RC. The DUO manual is not complete when it comes to program the RC look in the web for the UNO manual.

Hi All, still not working and now when I press the STB power off button its putting the TV on standby and when I turn it back on it keeps putting the wrong HDMI channel on. Is there any way to rest all this and go back to normal I have tried 1+6 , 996 and taking the batteries out but its not changing anything.

If you did the '1+6 996 trick' the R/C is back to default and not operating the TV.

Did you have a look at the HDMI-CEC plugin? Is it set to disabled?

You can force the Panasonic to startup on any HDMI input. Google for 'Panasonic Hotel Mode'.
Also, be careful when using the remote setup procedure detailed above. I found that the remote would find a code which could power my panasonic TV on and off, but would not operate the volume. To get around this, after entering 0000 on the remote, I would keep either the volume up or volume down button pressed until the TV volume started working. The remainder of the setup procedure was the same.
