Options for second 28E feed from existing set-up

Thanks for the advice guys - as my DIY skills are minimal and I'm terrible up ladders(!) I decided to go for a 12-month minimum subscription, cashing in on the multiple incentives on offer (after which the net cost is not very much), and as a result got a quad-lnb installed, with my old cable still attached and feeding the duo (28E on one feed, 13E and 19E on the second), and a twin feed to the Sly+ box which will handle my everyday recordings for the next 12 months, at which point I'll ditch and add the second 28E feed to the Duo. Will need to remove the special twin-feed connector used by the Sly+ box to split and replace with a couple of F-connectors , but I'm guessing that should be straightforward enough!

You can ditch the sly box now and use the Duo, added benefit all your reordings will still be available if you cancel your sub unlike with the sly box.

Also the F cinnevtores from the sly bix will work with the duo or anyther box.

Thanks Stanman good to know I won't have any trouble splitting the twin-core feeds. I must say I find the Duo's interface vastly superior to the Sly box once it's set up to your requirements, but really it probably suits me to leave the Sly+ doing all the record-and-watch-once stuff on series record, but apart from this I'll be doing all my "real-time" watching & other recordings - including stuff I might want to keep beyond next week - on the Duo.

Thats where the DUO beats the Sly box on series record. My understanding is on the sly and other boxes each series has its own unique identifier and this is used to pick it up - subsequent series should have different and so wont be picked up. AT on the VIX image will do it even when a new series start. imho if I was you, I would use the DUO
